New Printables Shop

I Am Thrilled To Open My New Printables Shop

I am crazy over this Rubik's Cube look-alike paper craft! It's so satisfying when it's all put together and what's also great is keeping the lid un-glued so I can put little surprises inside. This would be great as a favor or activity for kids at a Rubik's Cube themed birthday party! They'd love it.

Also in the shop check out the color your own version as well, that'll keep the kids entertained longer for sure!

Check back often to see what's new, there's always more to come, and thanks a bizzillion for visiting my site, it's a true pleasure!

Unicorn Head Printable Tube Craft

Uh who doesn't love a unicorn craft? I don't think anyone! I see a lot of My Little Pony around school these days and Shopkins too. I think what's so attractive about these popular toys are the bright combination of colors. Children especially are drawn to these palettes as much as the toy itself. Would you prefer to play with something dull and lackluster or something vibrant and colorful? Color represents life, energy and happiness, which are the positive feelings we want to experience while making art.

I’ve also updated this post with some fun new photos of my enchanting original unicorn craft for toilet tubes! If you want to try some other versions be sure to visit the shop here at The Art Dream!

Unicorn Head Printable
Try this unicorn head printable with your little mythical creature, they will have so much fun adding their own streamers for a mane, plus you can customize your own combination of colors and use up some of your leftover materials. This guy even has a three dimensional horn! I must admit, once I finished mine, I was "flying" it around the house having playtime for myself. Dont forget, this craft requires a toilet tube, it's the armature that supports the print out, they keep your project sturdy. Have a magical time making this unicorn head found in the shop, I'd love to hear about it as well!

Big Thanks to Little Blue Living

I was so happy to see that Little Blue Living has given my little 'ol printables a chance with her children. This morning I was greeted with a fantastic post on Instagram showing off the little creations her kids had made. It's so nice to know that someone out there is enjoying that hard work you put into your projects.

I started creating printables because I wanted to share my love for paper crafts and I wanted them to be easy and accessible for people who are busy but still want to have art and crafts time with their families. I know that gathering materials and crafting from scratch is not always on the top of the list, so how about a fun, engaging printable craft to get you started. And let's face it, not everyone is artsy or crafty but that shouldn't stop you from enjoying the activity with your loved ones.

Ideally you'd like your children or students to be 100% creative but, it's not always so simple, I could help make it a little easier to get you going. Try to also keep in mind that there's no right or wrong with how you create your tube craft, you should encourage the kids to "make it their own". Maybe add glitter, tissue paper, pop-poms, yarn etc, there are really a ton of possibilities.

Grab a tube and get to it, I love watching the kids get all excited about these, it just makes me want to come up with more and more of 'em!

So thanks again Little Blue Living for giving my printables a chance, I hope I can bring more fun and joy to your crafting table in the future. Happy art making, it looks like you have a couple of great kids there!

Orange, Pizza, Lollipop and More!

What a great project this was for my students they produced such awesome work and they were all excited about their creations. Here I have pictured 2 different oranges an apple, ice cream cone, cake, blueberry, pear, lollipop and a pizza!

My students made a pattern using scrap paper, then they chose their felt, stapled their pattern to two pieces of felt, cut it out, then also cut out their details. We either glued the details on or some students stitched them on depending on the size. Then they began stitching around the edges. Finally they were stuffed and ready to eat... I mean display.

For our art show I plan on displaying their creations in fruit bowls, cake plates, doughnut boxes etc! Can't wait!

Monkeys and Giraffes and Bears Oh My!

Been having my students make more of my animal printables, it seems like when they make one they need to just make the whole collection haha! That's fine by me, and they just love them. By the end of the class there's a line of kids in front of me waiting for help. It's great fun and the kids get to take home a little piece of artwork that day. I can't even count how many times the kids ask... "Can we take these home?" Why sure, sure you can!
