Pooping Unicorn PapercraftGuess I'm on a bit of a unicorn kick. I never really imagined creating an actual "pooping" unicorn but alas here it is. Thanks to my friend Agnes at hellowonderful.co for inspiring this magical and quite interesting papercraft. Yes folks here it is in all its sprinkle pooping glory, how could you not have a smile on your face lookin' at this one. What an interesting thing to think, what would a unicorn uh... poop? A rainbow, cupcakes, candy? Well in this unicorn's land they poop sprinkles, yep, much more classy than fudge right? Haha Make this craft just as it is or use it as a cupcake topper like I've pictured above! I literally made the unicorns poop the sprinkles onto the frosting, too funny, kids will love doing this. Present the cupcakes plain and let the kids sprinkle their own cupcakes! Or ice cream! Thanks again to hellowonderful.co for collaborating with me on the last few papercraft creations, it's been a blast, can't wait to see what we come up with next and I hope you guys stick around to see too. Visit hellowonderful.co to see a full video tutorial for putting together these shameless unicorns. Download this craft below and make sure to right click and save it to your computer. Open the files and then print from there, if you print from the internet the image will be too small. If you're still having trouble be sure to select "fit to page" in your printing options window.
Check out that white unicorn pooping all over my cupcake in the video below, mmm delicious! And if you like this papercraft visit my shop to find more unicorn crafts!

NEW! Unicorn Head Tube Craft PrintableI've updated this unicorn head toilet tube craft, it's nice that there's a choice of different colors, because of course no two unicorns are alike! This printable features some softened color changes and I think it makes a huge difference, this version is by far the most regal of my three designs. I bet your kids love unicorns, they are quite popular these days, I don't think Starbucks would have created a frappuchino inspired by the mystical creature if it weren't so. You'll most certainly enjoy adding your own streamers to this project too, it's the true show stopper for this craft! If you'd like to print out your own unicorn then visit the shop here at The Art Dream! You'll need a few simple things to make this project, and not a whole lot of time, you can easily set this up for kids and let them go to town without a whole lot of mess either! Just take a look at my how-to video below. Here's a list of what you'll need... Materials:
Directions: Step 1. Print out the unicorn, then cut out the shapes with a scissor or craft knife. Step 2. For the horn, score the dotted lines and fold, glue the flap to the corresponding side. Step 3. Cut some long strips of tissue paper and glue them to the back of the unicorn, make sure you use the side with the ears. Step 4. Wrap the unicorn around a toilet tube and staple. Step 5. Glue the horn to the top of the head. Take a look as some more photos below, I have undoubtedly have had so much fun with this project, it never bores me! It's also great to do with a class, the kids even love when I hand these out as prizes! Such a great incentive. Bug & Transforming Butterfly CraftDo you step outside in the summer and instantly get swarmed by bugs? I certainly do, as soon as I set foot on the patio those bugs fly right into my forehead, eyes and up my nose, how annoying isn't it?! Well I figured I'd take my frustration as inspiration to create an easy activity for kids to do this season, after all, some of those bugs out there are pretty amazing creatures! Use simple circles to make these bugs, including this transforming caterpillar to a butterfly version (watch the video in this post)! Kids will love flipping the caterpillar over to reveal its beautiful butterfly wings. See my how-to video right below here at The Art Dream! You're going to love the transforming caterpillar version of this bug craft! Just check out the video to see how I made it. All you'll need is a large circle punch, these come in great handy, but of course you can cut out some circles by tracing a cup or something round. Here's a list of some other materials you'll need...
Directions: Step 1. Cut out some circles, mine are 3 1/2 inches. Cut a mouth into your circle too. Step 2. Fold them in half, then paint one side, fold them in half again to transfer the paint onto the other side creating symmetry. Step 3. Cut out wings using some old clear plastic. Some plastics you can even fold in half so you can cut two wings simultaneously. Step 4. Keep the bug folded and punch holes on the rounded edge, bend pipe cleaners to make some legs. Step 5. Glue on wiggle eyes and any other embellishments you'd like! Be sure to make all sorts of bugs, use inspiration from your own backyard, I especially love lightning bugs or you may call them fireflies. They are one of the most amazing wonders our world has to offer and they're right outside our own homes!
Swimming Mermaids PapercraftGo under the sea with this swimming mermaids craft, they really flap their fins! How cool! Some simple folding brings these mermaids to life, make them swim, sing and dance on the ocean floor. How fun are these retro mermaids with their sea and coral color palettes?! Best part is that they can actually flap their fins, so they're kinda like paper toys too! Go to hellowonderful.co to see an awesome video tutorial of these little fish girls! And be sure to download this printable below for a fun sea adventure! I've created 4 different versions of this mermaid, three are already colored and one is black and white for you to color yourself! It would be great to add your own pizzazz to these mermaids like glitter or gems! Just remember to be creative and have fun! Thanks again to the super awesome hellowonderful.co for featuring this craft on her website, she has as much fun as I do making these crafts and videos! They always come out amazing!
