Halloween Printmaking

Here I've painted this creepy forest scene for Halloween and it looks fantastic hanging from a tassel garland I made a couple years ago, and since it's easy to print, I made two of 'em to display, and it makes for the perfect art to hang around the house, plus anyone can do this!

Printmaking has found it's way into the modern art world and there are some really fantastic images out there created by using this technique. Printmaking isn't a new idea though, it dates back thousands of years!

Halloween Birch Tree Watercolor Print

Get the kids involved with printmaking and they can produce many works of art with different variables. Take the image above and picture the background in soft pinks and reds with white birch trees instead of black and then adding little heart cutouts for leaves, this would make a fantastic Valentine's image.
